Rating and Analysis
A 0-cost skill drawing 3 (4 upgraded) cards at the cost of no further draw that turn. Ironclad's draw is limited, so 0-cost 3-4 draw is a huge boon. Despite the restriction, pairing Battle Trance with heavy hand usage followed by attack spam works well. Draw effects on Pommel Strike and Shrug It Off are nullified after Battle Trance, so play order matters. Versatile in both thin and fat decks.
How to Use
Play it first turn to refill hand 3-4 cards, then play drawn cards. Cards drawing afterward (Shrug It Off, Pommel Strike) lose their draw portion, so Battle Trance must come first. With Armaments (upgrade hand), Battle Trance first, then Armaments gives you a fully upgraded hand. Alternatively, using it to lock in hand and dump Energy into Whirlwind is effective.
Good Synergies
- Armaments (Upgraded): Skill upgrading all cards in hand. Battle Trance into Armaments upgrades 4 cards at once.
- Whirlwind: X-cost AoE. Battle Trance refills hand, then pour Energy into Whirlwind.
- Anger: 0-cost attack. Spam attacks with drawn cards after Battle Trance.
- Trample: AoE whose cost drops by attack count. Use drawn attacks to make Trample free.
- Pillage: Attack that draws until a non-attack is drawn. Must play BEFORE Battle Trance because its draws aren't limited by Battle Trance's constraint only if used first.
